I went shooting yesterday to do some load testing. I forgot the Chrono but will bring it today. All rounds were fired down an 8 Twist Krieger 26 inch barrel. I shot it a little and cleaned it checking for copper and thanks BCRifles for a great barrel.
Haverkamp Action/Krieger barrel/McReese Chassis with the F-class rail thing that mounts on the front of the stock sorry but its all I have for now...Jewell trigger. SIII 10x50 all testing at 300 yards best group was about 3/8" 5 shot group with load below. All shot with Grizzly front frest and Protektor BB deluxe rear bag.
6BR load was
30.0 Varget
Remington 7 1/2 primer
108 Berger naked seated .010 into lands
.002 neck tension
New Lapua brass
No pressure signs to speak of very easy bolt lift
80 degrees F and about 89% humidity
It shot very well considering the wind I was dealing with. My question is this. should I try for more speed or is this acceptable for 600 yard shooting in yalls opinion.
Thanks for any help
