It depends on what bullet (freebore) you chambered for as to what powder charge will give you a certain velocity with a certain bullet weight. Having said that, I shoot 90gr Berger VLDs very accurately at 3110fps with 30.3gr of Varget in my 7 twist 31.5" barrel.

Thanks guys. I got some 60 grains loaded with Varget to break in the barrel. Planning to go to the range in the morning. Got some guns to photograph and sell and when I do will take some photo's of the gun and post. It is a BAT SV left hand right port left eject. Barrel is 26 inch Kreiger in a McMillan stock.

My 22BR likes the 80 SMK. I thinks with your twist, you would prefer the 80 once past 300 yards. Under that it will not make much difference unless it is windy. Mine shoots 3 shots about 1" at 300 yards.

Got 100 Lapua cases with necks turned. Been fire forming. 60 grain Nosler spitzer would not shoot. Started with 26 grains of varget and went up. Then switched to 75 grain A-Max. Started with 26 grains of Varget out of a clean barrel. First 3 shot went into same hole! 29 1/2 grains will do quarter inch for 5 if I do my part and it is calm. One of my benchrest buddies tells me that these fire forming loads will not necessarily hold up on reloading. More later.
