John,

Prior to making this rigid bracket holder, what did your research indicate was the reason most other manufacturers stayed away from making this type of tool in the past?

The reason I ask is because my mentors have always told me to let the turner move in my hand to make up for the play in a power tool. I was told If I put it in, say a vice, the play in the power tool would impose its irregular movements on the brass being cut, cutting it so the brass ended up with high and low areas. By allowing the cutter to wobble in the hand, they advised, the irregular cuts were prevented.

What does this bracket do, or how was it designed, to prevent these irregularities?

John,

If it's not rigid, what is it?

A rotation left or right for better viewing still won't relieve irregularities when using a portable power tool, for example, a portable screw driver with very little play.

We're talking about turning to even .0001 [1/10,000] up and down the side of case necks.

How is that averted?

"The neck-turning tool is held securely; however, rubber bushings on the bracket allow the neck-turning tool to “float” just enough to work properly when using power."

2-27-11, John, Nice Mod. Now all you have to do is to add these words on the rubber bushings and floating characteristic to your web site's page.
