We had a great day at the DOME Friday. Junebug and Steve Perry are off on Friday and it seems we have established a Friday shoot date. Or at least the last 3 Fridays. Yesterday I was testing with my old Nesika Model X. I took the rifle up before lunch with ten 70 Nos BT's to see if they still shot well. I had in my notes that in 2020 I had multiple hits on Ole Chuckie at 800 yds with both 58 Nos BT and 70 Nos BT's but the 70's shot best at 800 due to heavier weight. Yesterday the first 5 cold bore shots touched making one large hole at 100 yd. A little scope adjustment and shot #10 took out the red dot aim point. I went to lunch and got back in time to load ten more rounds before the guys got there. Bug and I filled the egg rack at 200 yards and 300 yards. And put up a sighter target. First 200. Couple sighters and First shot on Egg was a vaporization. 2nd shot same thing. I then told Junebug to try the X. Explosion on his first shot. 3 for 3 at 200.
Now to 300 yd. One sighter. Junebug had one egg sitting on top to a steel post that was driven into the 300 yd berm. I told the guys to spot me on the post egg. One shot, one vaporization. OK Junebug try the next egg. I told him to hold just under center and favor left slightly off center. Shot #2 at 300 - Vaporization- Shot #3 -White mist. 3 for 3 at 300. Out of shells
