Needing a new scale (advice)

my old Denver Instruments is slowly getting unstable. I’m constantly resetting zero and second guessing it’s readings. In saying this I’m looking for a new scale.
In saying this I’m looking at either the A&D or the Sartorius entris 64
I understand the A&D is half the cost of the Sartorius.
Those who have one of each what are the grain readings on your scales?
My old DI reads .002 grains so I’m hoping for something that weighs this fine or down to .001 grains

The A&D FX120 only weighs to .00. I have used both. The Sartorius is a great scale. It is fast and repeats. I bet it blows your old Denver away. The 64 is a magnetic restoration scale and I bet your Denver was a load cell. No comparison between them. Matt

Just curious ,what type of powder do you weigh that you can weigh to .002 of a grain.? Varget & h4895 weighs .02 of a grain per kernel.

If you require better res than .00, A & D has
numerous scales in their lineup
to meet your requirements,
Jim

The AnD FX-120i is on sale for $500 at C&E in Ontario. There is a $150 rebate that would get you into one for about $390 with shipping.

They are great and do read one kernel of Varget or the 3/4ths weight of a kernel of H4895 if you pick a reasonable sized one. Only one issue and I cannot vouch for it. Shooter friend called me on that scale last week. He told me they are very scarce right now. He paid a much higher dollar for one at that scale place so popular in Texas. Then was told he had to wait 6 months as they were out everywhere.

Yes - there is one that is .000. don't have a clue what that might cost and don't need it anyhow. You also might be able to get a 220i the weighs another 500g. You don't need that capacity and I never checked price or availability.

bingo
the fx120i power supply does work on the older mx123!
now to just find one!

thanks joe

James,
I use a Sartorious Entis 64S, its a great scale. However I used the A&D FX120 when the power supply of my Sartorious died. A friend lent me his A&D and I discovered that the power supplies are interchangeable, so I did a little comparison using Varget. Both scales got me to the same exact kernel. The only advantage would be if you were using some very fine kernel or ball powder. Having said that I would buy my Sartorious again because I like the precision of the extra digit and the extra cost is not significant to me. To someone else it may be.

Kindest regards,

Joe
