Needing a br scope

Ok , now that I have purchased a 6ppc I am looking into scopes.
I bought the Athlon br scope 6 months ago to use on my 6mm arc. I don't care for it much as the glass is cloudy and the magnification ring is real tight.
My budget is bout 1300 atm..
What recommendations..36x weaver, nightforce...?

Lots of Weavers out there. I am going to list a Nightforce BR 8-32x56 soon. It has been on my 22 rimfire a few months.

Best bang for the buck bar none, Vortex Golden Eagle. I have 3 bench guns with them. No problems, repeatable, and hold point of aim. My 4th bench guns has the SSVED Sightron.Yes, it's a bit brighter, bit better lenses, the dual parallex adjustment is great. I love it. But , again for the money, the Golden Eagle is great. A super veteran's program.

Even though I use a Weaver t36 I would stay away since they went out of business. All of them go to Bushnell for so called repairs now.
It seems as if Luepold is doing away with their competition scopes also so it doesn't leave to many to choose from anymore, NF, March, Sightron ?.
Best bet put a want to buy add on here and see what comes up.

If you plan to shoot competition you have to be concerned with total rifle weight- LV = 10.5 #, HV = 13.5 #. Sightron or used Leupold Comp. or M8 36x would be my picks for your budget. These should be serviceable at N/C for the foreseeable future. I truly have never found the need for a variable in the SR game.

Yes I do plan on shooting in competition. I have a mentor close to me and are in discussions

I'd love to have a Golden Eagle myself as I've heard many good things about them. There just happens to have been 2 of them listed this week here in the classifieds if they are still there.

I have several weaver 36x's, 2 mounted on RF's for 50y matches. I have a Sightron III 45x for a new RFBR gun in the works. Either of these should work fine, but you didn't mention any distances involved, so. The weaver 36x are a good scope, but if it goes bad, well, you are up the creek, so.... I have a couple spares in the closet. LOL

I would be looking at Sightron 45X45
Graf and Son reloading has them for $999.00
See numerous ones on the line in group short range Benchrest
CLP

A little off the subject, but Ironsightinc.com in Tulsa just repaired my T-36 . They are not the fastest, but they are good.

Fixed 40 March......They pop up here from time to time. I live in western Pa. and use the fixed 50 but I hear the guys down south prefer the 40.......I have a T-36 on a Rail and it works well.

Regards
Rick
