Need to find a pre-fit Savage small shank, 6xc barrel, all replies welcome.

Have a buddy who needs a new 6xc barrel, just now scraped up the money, anyone know where I can get a Shilen, CBI, or comparable stainless, varmint or heavier barrel pre fit, in short order? This is for a small shank savage, need 1-8 twist. Anyone have a used, good condition barrel for sale in this caliber?

+1. They do chamber for the 6XC now. Their turn around is pretty fast and the two barrels I have had from them (20 & 6.5 cal) shot extremely well. Actually might order another 20 cal barrel from them pretty soon.

Trust me, the 6XC is available. The list of chambers is on their CM or SS barrel blank lists. Scroll down to the 6mm barrel details on the link I posted below and it shows the available chamberings. All of the chamberings listed under each bore size are available for any type of barrel they make.

They carry Savage replacement barrels and the 6XC is one of their cartridge options.

Ask if they still have the 20 to 25 percent discount when shipping to an FFL.
