need some help with my mr bullet feeder in 223 , neck flair die ?

Hey whats up everyone ? I'm running a Dillon xl650 with a case feeder and a Mr bullet feeder . Im having a issue with seating and crimping the bullets . Is there a die that with put a slight flair on the neck so that when the bullet is feeded into the brass it won't wobble to much till it gets to the next station to be properly seated and crimped ? I'm getting a few that are getting seated crooked and that doesn't end well . I have one station open before the bullet feeder and thought if there was a die that could flair the neck I would be golden I'm loading 55gr fmjbt's

Any help would be greatly appreciated

One thing you could do is use a vld reamer which will let the bullet enter the case slightly and better center the bullet along with less jacket scratching going on.I also wrap a piece of fine steel wool around a pistol or rifle brush to smooth the two transitions of the neck. You only need to polish the neck very slight to accomplish a good blend.I use a drill to spin the brush with steel wool on it.

The Lyman "M" die will solve your problem. Less than $20 (the last time I bought one), no moving parts and you don't have to use a chamfer tool.

The Lyman M Die does this superbly. Adjust the expander to *just* give enough flare to locate the bullet, and it will sit perfectly aligned without wobble. Custom expanders are available from Buffalo Arms, and their lock rings (also available separately) for the expander thread are useful too. It helps to chuck the expanders and polish to a high shine finish.

I forgot all about the m die from lyman but I still believe the vld tool would help the situation.

If you are running a progressive press, with an automatic bullet feeder, then you are loading a lot of cases - you can't hand chamfer the cases - it'll take days!

Plus, the "M" die does a better job than a VLD tool will.
