Sorry don't have any pictures..... my step daughter picked up an old mauser today to give to her husband....long barrel and rear sight that would elevate with wedge..yardage markings on ladder of rear sight... didn't stick straight up... the wedge moved and elevated the ladder......................
she wanted me to look at it to see if i could figure out what it was....
it was definately an old mauser.... full stock....not quit a manlincher .... about 8 inches sticking out end of stock....
action had Austria on the side with 6833 serial no. ... across the top of the action where the barrel attaches it had Modelo 1912..... the bottom plate had the same serial no..... had a bayonet lug up front.... no caliber no. visable.... looked 30 caliburish ......it had a really small 97 stamped on the bolt infront of the safty....
bolt came straight up vertical before it would come back... curved trigger just like my FN mauser... safety tab looked similar to my FN......the stock was pitted slightly in a very few places, but was in excellent shape.... metal butt plate......
any guesses.....??????????????????????
