need some advise

I am trying to help a aging friend sell some of his reloading stuff. He was a benchrest shooter For example he has 31 Wilson reloading dies and I want to sell them of this forum. What would be the best way to do it? Any advise would be appreciated. nilebartram

You might try posting the items on the bulletin board of your local gun club. You might casually mention here what you have and then if there is interest buy a classified ad here. But definitely make a list and take pictures. Where are you located? Can you narrow it down closer than United States?

In forums go under market place and there is a subsection for dies etc. and it says right on the top no fee as said earlier take pictures

Create a new thread in the Tools, Dies, Rests, Reloading components, Misc. forum and list them all preferably by number and description with price and whether or not shipping is included. Respond to PMs promptly with what forms of payment you require, i.e. USPS money orders, bank checks, paypal friends & family or if you're comfortable with this, for members with good trading history, a personal check. Exchange addresses for payment and shipping.
Shipping I use is USPS Priority Mail, flat rate boxes. After shipping, PM buyer with tracking number.

Dale gives good advice. Sit with your friend and put a price list together. Go to the Post Office and get a bunch of the small Priority boxes. They’re “free”. Make it easy on yourself and figure the shipping cost in the die price. Post your list and watch them . They’ll probably sell quickly if priced right. You’ll save trips to the PO if you got enough boxes the first time out. Just wait until payment clears before sending anything, unless your buyer has a long positive trader history. I relax when I see that!

Go online and set up a USPS account. From there you can print shipping labels and request a pick-up at your location on the date you specify. I never leave the house to sell stuff (my PO will bring the boxes to me- I just let the carrier know when I need more).

All good advice. Make a list, include price w/shipping and post on classified section on list and keep watch on it and contact interested parties as soon as possible.
Also, put a list up w/price at his local range, if they have a posting board. You may sell a lot of them right there, among fellow shooters.

Cost for shipping USPS small flat rate box,one set of dies,$8.30 with $50.00 free insurance. And yes,the boxes are FREE.

These die are individual not sets, Mostly seater and a few neck . All kinds of calibers. I do belong to the USPS. I will try to post the dies this weekend. I do not go to far home on the 4th, I already live at the beach. Thanks to all for the information, Happy 4th to all. nilebartram
