Need Proper Width Rear Bag

I'm not sure which width to get for my rifle stock. This stock is a 3/4" wide flatbottom. Should the stock ride flat in the bag, or off the stitching? I've shot this stock in several bags that have made it hard to manage. I've read were some shooters ride on the stitching and other off. Is this preference or is one of these the correct way? Not looking to start an argument between shooters, just want to buy the correct rear bag.

Thanks, Don Dunlap

i have a shehane tracker stock that takes the 3/4" bag. i let mine settle down to the bottom of the ears resting on the bag itself. The bag is a 3 stitch it seems to work for me me right or wrong? hope all is well with you and yours..

Joe, is that your Gator bag? If it is, I used it once and that was the best this stock felt in a bag. I did not notice the paticulars of the bag at the time. Recon I need to pay more attention to details at times instead of things going on downrange. All these things go hand in hand, guess I need to pay attention to EVERYTHING. All things are good here, hope all is well with you and yours. I'll catch up with you at one of these shoots, when I'm not so tired from all this forming and pouring.
