Need info on carry in PA, Leaving in the AM

I've looked up concealed carry in PA. Living in VA I can not carry in PA. My question is, can I take a weapon with me and not carry. Is it legal to have in vehicle with out a permit? Once where I'm going, I'm not worried about it. Just curious about getting to where I'm going.

If you follow the federal regulations for transporting firearms in your vehicle you will be fine getting your firearm to your destination in PA.

I travel for work, and travel out of state alot. It's always a safe bet even with a concealed carry permit to contact state police in the area and discuss laws, and procedures. Also make sure to document time and day of call, and troopers name. Just to cover yourself, better safe than sorry.

words of wisdom. watch philadelpha, they make up laws on the spot. they want to be new jersey, nyc, dc when guns are mentioned. they get smacked down on appeal but meantime$$$$.

Without CC permit I believe you need to lock up handguns and ammo separately.
I run into this from NC to PA & back, while passing through communist MD, where non-resident permits are not honored..
