Need Identification of connectors to battery on target cam system

I just got a receiver and transmitter to put together a target cam system. The kit came with an adapter that allows you to connect the transmitter to a video camera, and the same adapter has a positive and negative that are to be hooked up to a power source, like say a 12V DC battery. However, the connectors cannot be connected to a battery unless I can adapt some alligator clips, or something similar to attach to the battery. Does anybody know what these connectors are called and where I can get them with one end with alligators clips attached, or a bare end that I could attach alligator clips to? Could not find them at Radio Shack or the local electrical store.

Thanks

First: I'd check where you got it......it looks like a + Female & - Male plugs so you don't get them reversed, they may sell the adaptor.

Second: If that is no help, mark the wires + & - about 4" back from the plugs and cut 'em at about 2", that leaves room to reconect if you ever find a set, then put on some color coded alligators and go give it a try.

I'm not familar with the system you bought as the ones I use come with a power supply (115vt AC-12vt DC transformer) and I use an inverter to power the camera/transmitter and I use the cord from my camera as the transmitter has RCA plugs for Video/Audio in. On the other end I have some set ups with 12vt TV's and some with TV/VCR's and inverters.

Hey Mike, Thanks for the advise. I wanted to try and avoid cutting the connectors and using alligator clips, but it might be the way to go. I got the one from the link provided in the write up on target cam systems this website. Came with everything but a way to connect to 12V DC.

Can't wait to try this thing out.

It should have come with a charging connector with a cigarette plug on the end. If you have that just get an adapter that allows the cigarette plug to be adapted to a battery.

You should be able to get one at a camper supply store as they have them too install in campers.

By all means, DO NOT cut the connectors off - might void any warranty too :o
