need help with static

Hi everyone,
I have a Niel Jones powder measure I picked up used- and Niel Jones rebuilt it this winter.
Problem is, there seems to be quite a bit of static cling of especially spherical powders,H335).
Niel Jones,in his literature) recommends Radio Shack anti static spray- but at least my Radio Shack doesn't carry any anti static spray .
What do you folks use for static problems in powder measures?
Thanks,
Bob

I use those disposable dryer static cling sheets that my wife throws in the dryer. I keep one in the shop for powder funnels and such...

I'll second dryer sheets, last time I had to use one on my Harrell's was about a year ago, and I use this measure weekly.

Thanks for the help,
Between rubbing the measure down with the dryer sheets and throwing about 100 charges- the problem seems to have been solved.

I run powdered graphite in the drop tube with masking tape on either end so that you can shake the drop tube and coat the interior.

The dryer sheets will work fine, I also spray stadic grard down in the tube and let it dry. The graphite can be attained at a John Deere Dealer. You can get 1 lb for around 4 dollars.

Chino69,
Where do you get the powdered graphite?
Bob

Any hardware store or Home Depot, etc. should have powdered graphite. It is used to lubricate the inside of lock mechanisms.

Thanks to everyone,
I tried John Deere, and they only had graphite in a liquid suspension- I didn't want to use that.
An auto parts store had dry graphite- I recall using that for car locks. I think I'm all set- thanks!

I`ve read that some folks have even grounded the dispensers to a water pipe,etc.. depending on the stand it sits on or were your loading room is located.
