Need help with rifle purchase!!!

Hey guys, I have a few questions that I hope you can help with. I am gathering info/opinions on a couple of new rifles for my department and I REALLY dont want to make a $2500 mistake.
The main things we are looking for is a 20 inch barrel, adjustable stock, and an appropriate barrel twist to support Fed GM 168s. Due to the nature of the job we cannot use handloads. Also due to legality issues I would prefer not to do "Custom" work with it after purchase (Bedding stock, Trigger work, etc..) Just looking for out of the box goodness. An adjustable stock may help "selling" the idea as I wont be in this position forever and it could then fit another team member.

Rifles on the list include,

+Sako TRG22 (20 Inch)
+FN SPR A5 (20 Inch)
+Kimber 8400 Advanced Tactical (Although it is NOT available with 20 inch barrel)

We currently deploy Remington 700s with 26 inch barrels. I have considered a Remington 700 XCR Compact, however as mentioned above I could not place an aftermarket stock on it without jumping through hoops. Also considered a CZ Urban Counter Sniper with 16 inch barrel with attached surefire brake, not sure about a 16" barrel though.

Does anyone have hands on experience with these rifles and ammo? Is there any issues with warranty or having them worked on? Maybe you have another rifle in mind (20 inch barrel and adjustable stock please).

Thanks again guys.

If it has to be factory from your list, I vote for the Sako TRG. Check out our sponsor EuroOptic.com for good prices.

You guys should also consider a complete build by www.GAPrecision.net or KMW Long Range Solutions. But that's more money....

The KMW will be a tack-driver. You can count on Terry Cross. As for the Kimber, factory barrel is an uncertainty. Could be good, could be mediocre.

I would look at a T2000 or an Eliseo tube gun. They don't get much more accurate or flexible than that. Or, another option would be to have your existing Remington's recrowned at 20 inches.

+1 with da boss, or CZ 750 Sniper cut and recrown barrel. I do think GA precision gives a discount to law enforcement as do most if not all manufacturers. Worth asking anyways. Good luck and hope it helps.

Re new rifle purchase, in my opinion you cannot get better than an accuracy international, 26,24 and 20 inch barrels they have a proven track record,

this is not to say there are not other fine rifles out there.

Accuracy International is at the top of my list. Convincing the powers that be will prove impossible. Layed behind one at a swat competition last year and fell in love. Also got my butt whipped by that same rifle.... Budget is a 4 letter word that we all deal with I guess

Another option is to pick the barrel/action combo that fits your needs and order the stock you think will fit your application. Kimber patrol with McMillan stock of choice should keep you under 2500, with a little left for accessories.

FN A5 SPR! Google FNH rifle. Dose not show the price but Googling FNH A5 SPR I found Tombstone tactical and they have one for $2100, fully adjustable A5 stock, and 20" barrel. Nice looking rig!
