Need help with my first chronograph data

Here is some data from my first use of a chronograph. These 2 .308 loads shoot practically the same groups at 100 & 200 yards. If I had to give the nod to one over the other for slightly better accuracy it would be the N540, but only by a hair.

To me the chronograph data is almost the same also. I'm trying to figure out which load would be better at longer ranges up to 1000.

I only have 15 rounds for the N550 because I was trying to figure out how to use the chronograph.

Thanks

Looking at the data you've provided it probably won't make much difference which you used. Go with the one that gives you the best group.

However because you have roughly 45fps spread on the top and bottom speeds you will probably have some vertical stringing due to the variance in velocity.

Both these loads shoot pretty much .25 moa at 100 & 200 yards. Not sure what else I can do to drop the ES & SD. These are my finest handloads.

Well the only way you'll find out is to shoot it and see i guess.

Good luck with it ;)

I wish I could convince the people who have amateur chronographs to buy my narwhal repeller. It works just as well as the chronies (a non brand specific name for the said device) they wasted money on if not better-- no one has seen a narwhal around here for centuries.
