I just picked up a used SEB NEO front rest and ran into a couple of issues.
First, I often shoot at a range where the targets are slightly downhill. Because of the low rest height I need in that setup, the joystick keeps hitting the rear leveling screw when I’m on target.
Second, my brain naturally wants the controls reversed — I want to push the joystick down for the barrel to go up, and vice-versa. I think reversing the rest would fix both problems.
The issue is, I can’t find any directions on how to actually reverse a NEO. I can’t just turn the rest around and plug the joystick into the other side, because the bag platform (the part with the bump stop) doesn’t have holes drilled on the opposite end. That makes me think I’d need to reverse the entire bag holder assembly.
Under the bag I see two loose set screws and another pair of wide screws that look like they might be glued in place. I’m guessing those hold the top together, but I’m hesitant to start prying without knowing for sure.
Has anyone done this or found official directions for reversing the top? Is this something that can actually be done, or am I overthinking it?
