Need Help on scope rings

Hello, I recently acquired a Kimber 84 in 223 rm. made in Yonkers, NY. I bought Talley medium rings for a Leupold 6.5 X 20 scope. Last week I took it out to sight it in and found out that I ran out of left windage to get on target. Even at 50yds. I need another good 12 inches to get to center. Who would make rings for this Kimber with adjustable windage so that I can get this gun sighted in. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Them there rings be not on straight .... take everything off and start again ( or the scope is a Chinese knock off)

Something is way off, it probably is not the rings. Makes sure your scope had the crosshair/reticle centered first off. Use the old mirror and back light system too do so, then try again on your rifle. Your local gun shop should be able to help you, if you don't know or have not centered crosshairs before.

get a set of leupold rear windage mounts. mechanically center the reticle by turning the windage and counting turns to center. grease and twist front dove tail ring enough so that you wont bend the scope tube when centering windage with the rear adjustment screw. you can use burris signature rings but I doubt that two offset 20s will fix this amount of windage. as I understand it the mirror will give you optical center. not mechanical. I say this because I just purchased a leupold hunting scope , matched the crosshairs in the mirror and found I only had 20% right windage. I hope this helps and good luck with the rifle.

I suggest you try a set of Burris XTR signature rings. They come with an assortment of inserts that let you correct various problems, easily.
Plus, they won't mar your scope.

I have always used Talley ring mounts on my Kimbers, never had a issue. Test with another scope. Could be the scope is bad.

Thanks everybody for the helpful hints. I ended up putting the reticle back to center. Took it over to friends range and this time I got sighted in. I don’t know what happened between the first time I tried getting it sighted in and today. Everything’s good.

Centering of a scope's adjustment dials
The elevation and windage adjustments of a scope are easily centered. Place a small mirror against the objective end of the scope. That would be the end farthest from your eye as you look through the scope. Make certain that the mirror is large enough to cover the entire objective. It must also be flat against the objective. With the scope's power selector ring set at the lowest magnification, look through the eyepiece as you would while aiming at a target. If the scope's windage and elevation adjustments are off center, you will see two images of the reticle (cross-hair). To reach the center of the adjustment range, simply turn the elevation and windage dials until you see only one image of the reticle.
