For any states with universal background checks they do (some do make special provisions for family members). In CO in is against the law to loan a firearm to a friend for more than 2 days. Talk about legislators that have no idea of what they are passing...

Oh my! Back about 100 years ago when I took high school Civics, I learned you should never make a law that can't be enforced. The '2 day' law appears to be one of those. I'm in Texas, thankfully.

Yes, in WA state private sales must go through an FFL.

The problem comes when (and if) the S/N is checked against the state database. A transfer that has not been registered with the state becomes either a stolen or otherwise illegally owned firearm.

I wouldn’t circumvent state gun laws. There is no real upside to it.

I used to use a pawn shop in downtown Everett, fee was $10 a couple years ago. I'm in NM now.
