I'm not an expert by any means....been shooting 6PPC's for about 10 years. I've shot both 14 & 13.5's with bullet weights of 62 to 68 grains and many different powders. Not a lot difference when the rifle/load is in tune. Right now I shoot 64gn Berger's in a 13.5" barrel. One of the side benefits I've found of the 13.5 is I can shoot at about the same RPM's as a 14 but with less pressure(and about 100fps slower). Bullet stability is based on RPM's not forward speed. Also, less wear and tear on my rifle and brass. I'm well satisfied with the 13.5" twist. My barrel was cut with my reamer and uses a .268" NK & .030" freebore. I recommend .045" FB or less.
Good luck...be safe. Dan

Thanks for the feed back , my reamer is a JGS .263 NK & .025 FB , Had it made for the .790 Jackets and also have a throating reamer if i need to lengthen the throat , i think 62-66 grns are made on the .790 jackets.
