Need a Throw Lever for Sightron S2 36x42 scope

I have a Sightron SII TARGET 36X42 scope it has an objective lens parallax. The parallax adjustment is real tight and a pain to adjust while looking through the scope. I think a throw lever might help but I haven't found one in the size I need (55.5). Does anyone know of someone that can make one that size? The outside diameter of the objective lens size is 55.5mm. If I can't find a fix for this I'll get a scope with a side adjust parallax.

I presume that you loosen the lock ring when making an adjustment.

Sightron has an excellent warranty, why not give them a call and see what they say? Or, if you get one made, I may ask to get one as well as I have a SII big sky 36x42.

The OP is talking about the front parallax adjustment ring (AO). No lock ring is mentioned in the instructions (above), but I can't tell just from looking at the diagram. If I understand the OP correctly, the problem is that it's simply very hard to adjust without getting out from behind the rifle. I once had a Nightforce BR scope that was the exact same way, and I ultimately got rid of it because of that. It didn't help that I also have T-Rex arms.

I also believe the throw levers mentioned above are for adjusting magnification at the eyepiece, not parallax at the much larger front objective. Perhaps they might do a custom version for the AO, but I'm not sure you really want a throw lever hanging off the front of the scope anyhow. You could try the zip-tie approach mentioned by @MislMan, which would be a little less obtrusive while still providing just a little bit of extra leverage. Alternatively, an extra wide/fat [black] rubber band around the AO may help provide better grip and accomplish the same goal. Obviously, it would need to slip-fit over the AO withput too much stretching or tension. Perhaps something like this?

Or several of these?

There might be a few things worth trying. I was never able to successfully resolve my issue with the tight AO, although in fairness, I didn't really try very hard. Until recently, I have usually avoided AO scopes altogether. I did however recently purchase an IOR-Valdada Spyder that has a front parallax adjustment ring, but it is located much closer to the erector assembly than the OP'S Sightron or my earlier NF BR scope, such that my T-Rex arms can actually reach it without crawling out from behind the rifle. Even so, it is still noticeably more difficult to properly adjust than a side parallax. I could never get used to having to crawl out from behind the rifle to adjust the NF BR scope and it eventually drove me insane, so I had to part ways with it. I think I can live with the Spyder. I hope the OP has better luck solving this issue.

How about an extra-small oil filter wrench, the strap kind? Or maybe a hose clamp, and bring Band-aids in case you cut your hand on the metal strip...

Seriously, is the past twenty-five years of mobile device proliferation and keyboard use causing atrophy of hand and forearm strength to this degree?

(OTOH, my wife brought home a little plastic container of pepper or some spice from McCormick. They put a paper layer inside the cap that must be removed before the spice can be sprinkled out. She asked me to remove the cap. We live on a ranch, and I work with my hands, a lot. So I puffed my chest out like Barney Fife, grabbed the little bottle, and try as I might could not get the lid off. But using slip joint pliers I sure could. Thinking of my arthritic mom, I called the McCormick customer service number, and gently informed them of my annoyance. They said "We are aware of misapplied glue in various batches of our spice container lids. Sorry for the inconvenience." They sent us a coupon for a replacement container. Which had the same problem. So I took it outside and stomped on it.)

SInce most parallax adjustments are not correctly labeled, I put a strip of masking tape or similar sticky label etc on the front end. Then I put the gun on a rest and rear bag and carefully adjust the parallax. Then mark the added tape. I do this for each yardage I will be shooting at. Real easy to adjust to correct markings before starting to shoot. Works great for XTC also. Loved the Weaver T scopes, they had a micrometer type adjustment. Determine setting for each yard line, write them down and dial it in as needed.
