got to do a little more testing new years day worked up a load with 37.5 grs varget and cci 250 primer 105 berger VLD still jamming bullet hard shows no pressure shot 5 shot groups at 100yd 43.0grs of RL17 and 37.5 0f varget shot the same elv the RL17 had been choreograph at 3100 the other day both loads shot .3 groups had some mirage going on nether load shows any pressure at all just trying to find something cleaner than RL powder going to load up some H1ooo this wk end and try Thanks for all the interest in this tread

got a question loading H1000 today 210M 105 VLD berger 243AI started at 47.5 and went to 50.0 looking for pressure to see what it would stand before loading for range and seen no signs in norma case or primer berger jammed hard into lands the case is almost full i am not used to that i seem to always find pressure i wonder why not here THANKS

Because H1000 is a very slow burning powder and you can't get enough of it into the case to get to max pressure. Another reason why barrel life is so good with that powder.

IMR7828ssc in a 6XC case is another good example. I can get enough in the case to give me good velocity but not enough to cause high pressure.

I see where some of the "Pros" are using RETUMBO in the .243 and Ackley. I was hoping someone here may have tried it?????

do some more testing 243AI tuesday really to cold about 16 degree but did any way loaded 50gr H1000 210m 105 berger VLD jammed hard shot 3 groups 5 shots .5 not bad with eyes watering they hit target 1 1/2 inch higher than my load that run 3100 looks very promising and tried 10rds of 49gr RL 22 with same bullet and primer shot real good and impacted target 2 inches higher than the 3100 fps load how fast would you think these loads might be based on that going to shoot 1000 yd sunday then we know THANKS

on the last post the RL22 at 49grs conorgraphed 3180 shot pretty well but this past sat revved up the RL17 to 45grs and seen a little ejector mark it ran 3254 and grouped good at 100yds will try 1000yds with it next sat

got to shoot 1025 yards yesterday with 243 AI pretty windy but the 105 VLD berger with 45 grs. RL17 at 3250 proformed great on steel ground hogs i think i have found my load it shows zero pressure it will be a lot of fun to shoot THANKS for all the interest in this post

my 243AI is unbelievable accurate shot yesterday a little while in the rain cold bore hits at 1000on 14 inch steel with 23.6 MOA come up and was spot on at 800 up at 15.7 MOA up and 600 up 9.5 MOA this round is a bad cat
