Need a heads up in determining ring height

Hello gents, got a Sightron scope on the way. It has a 34mm tube with 60mm objective (68mm outside dim). Using 20 moa base. Is there an intuitive app/thread/site that can help choose rings that will leave enough room between objective lens and barrel without sitting too high? I come from the hunting rifle camp mounting scopes as low as possible for cheek weld and aesthetics. The rifle has an adjustable cheekpiece but I still prefer as low as is practical. Thanks

An app? No.. Not that i'm aware of.

Vortex had something on their site to help pick what height of scope rings you may need.

Who's 20MOA base?
What barrel contour?

These things matter too.

Personally i use EGW one piece bases. These are kinda tall, so i can usually use low rings.
Even at that, sometimes for forward/rearward placement i need to contour the front or back of the base for clearance.

EGW's Keystone line of rings are seriously over built, especially at their price point!!

Nope.

Best path I've found is to base it on the existing scope, or if you have spare rings and scope, install those and calculate from there.

Beware of eye relief. You are going to need to be closer than a hunting scope for higher magnification. Also beware of shooting position, as I find what eye relief works for prone doesn't work as well for the bench, and vise versa.

Thanks for the input guys. I came up with 1/4" clearance with Nightforce 6 screw Ultralites in "high 1.125. Badger Ordinance "Standard" 1" 6 screw would only leave 1/8". I want to have enough room for scope caps and heat shield for f-class.
