Who has a good Highpower style fore end tube?
White Oak
White Oak sells by far the best tube on the market today. Here is the reason why. When you install the barrel nut, it is a smooth round nut that does not require any holes to be lined up for a gas tube to pass through. Once the nut is installed, the tube slides over the nut and is fixed in position with six 5/16" set screws (3 front, and 3 rear) which allow you to firmly mount the tube in perfect alignment with the barrel. They are anodized aluminum in 4 different colors (red, blue, green, & black) and come in 2 diameters, 2"& 2.25". They are also long enough to meet the back if the gas block when a extended length gas tube is installed.
It is far superior to any of the glue on tubes on the market which require a barrel nut with holes for the gas tube which require nut alignment for the tube to pass through and fine threads on the diameter of the barrel nut so you can glue the tube to with loctite. That method was ok in 1992, but this ain't then and glue just glue just shouldn't be a fundamental item in a gun maker's tool chest.
You will find the WOA tube is the best one going and it is the only one I use on customer rifles unless otherwise requested some special purpose tactical style or varmint tube.
