Need 6BRX loads using 90gr & 95gr Bergers

I've never shot the 95s, but the 90s are excellent. They don't have quite the wind-cheating ballistics of the 105-class, but they shoot very well. (Easy to get shooting, too)

I can't, however, remember (or find) the load I shot them with, though I think I used my 105 load, possibly bumped up a half grain or so. My thinking was that if I'm shooting the 90s rather than the 105s, I'm not particularly worried about wind drift (and I shoot known-distance, so I really don't care about the drop), so go easy on the brass. So, I was probably around 33grains of 203b (or the same of Re15).

I just found one load I used of 31 grains of 203b (*really* mild) that shot well. You can certainly work up a good bit beyond there--but I never tried much (if any) beyond the charge I was using for the 105s.

racesnake,

I shoot most bullets into the lands. You can bump your load by 1.0 gr from the 105 loads for starts.

Made it to the range today. First crack-out of- the box I shot a 0.198" 5 shot group with the 90 gr vld's. I used the same amount of Varget and a 0.010" jam that I use for the 105gr vld's. The 90gr vld hunting bullets with the same load, etc., shot a 0.470" 5 shot group. I gotta find some 105 hybrids and see how they shoot. Can't seem to find them right now. Everybody is out of them.

In my Dasher, I'm running 34.3 grains of Varget with moly plated 95 VLD's at 3060 in a 22" tube, in one of my coyote guns. It'll go 3200, but the accuracy node is at 3060, same as my 105's in the "big guns".

The 90gr vld's that shot the 0.198" group are in front of 33.5gr of Varget. I didn't get to chrono the load but the same load using 105 vld's chronos a solid 3000fps. So, I'm assuming the 90gr's are running somewhere between 3000fps and 3100fps.
