Need .284 Winchester Load

Hi Fellas,

Plain ol Vanilla .284 Winchester

Looking for load info for Berger 168 grain vld.

I will plan to use H4831sc because I have a bunch of it & that is what I am shooting in my .284 Shehane Match rifle.

This rifle is a Hunting / Tactical rifle that I currently shoots Berger 180 vld's.

Thanks Jeff, That looks like a very informational write up! I am hoping for more specific info the heavier bullets. I will only shoot Hornady 162 grain A-Max, Sierra 175 grain Match Kings or preferably Berger 168's.

Have you checked here on Accurate Shooters dot com / 6MMBR website? They have a nice section on 7mm.

Yes Jeff I have actually & I have read the 7mm Cartridge guide several times. There is not much in that write up on the Straight .284 ecspecially with the 168 grain bullets.

I am still looking for some Info on specifically the 168 grain Berger vld. I am mostly wandering how much of a powder & velocity increase I should expect with the 168's over the 180's.
