Need 243 AI Load Data

As I progress with the process of giving away all my rifles to one of my nephews, (they will be in good hands) I need some load info to work with 80 gr Barnes TTSX bullets. Yes, he lives in California. Never shot that bullet some I am at a loss. Yes, I checked the post on 243/243AI loads in the forum.

I'll begin with saying I have no direct experience with that bullet . . .

You're looking at 4350 and 4831 speed powders with the AI case and this bullet weight. I'd start with 45 gr. of H4350 and 47.5 gr of H4831SC and work up from there. If you prefer ball powders H414/W760 should do well, with the same starting charge as H4350. I have some StaBall 6.5 that should work well but I have not yet had the opportunity to do a work-up in the .243 AI.

I've always used a Winchester LR or CCI-250 LR Magnum in my .243 AI and ball powders.

I would start with the starting loads for a 6 mm Remington and the 80 TTSX on the Barnes load data website.
