NECO Gauge - VLD bullet guide

I'm looking to source a bullet guide for VLD bullets. I've had this thing forever and I use it so infrequently I keep forgetting that the bullet guide that came with it does not work well with VLDs.

NECO seems to have discontinued it, but they do have parts. I know that I could get someone to drill out a piece of steel, but I'm looking for somthing off the shelf before I need to get someone to fabricate it for me.

Anyone have a source?

bpm90d,

Could you use a second V block rather than a bullet guide? I've seldom even to attempt to use the bullet guide rather than a second V block.

Possibly, but I was hoping to find an easy off the shelf option to hold the bullet by the tip. It does not seem like many people have come up with solutions. I might just have my smith make one for me.

I’ll try to remember when I get home, I haven’t used it in years but I’m pretty sure I used a searing stem out of a Wilson maybe I can’t remember but it worked ok I believe
