Neck thickness on Peterson 243 SRP brass

Building a 6 SLR and wanting to know neck thickness on this new Peterson brass.
Wondering what bushings to order from Whidden. TIA

Called Peterson and on SRP 243 the necks averaged 0.0135”. On the 6SLR reamer the neck is 0.275” so going to go with 0.267 & 0.268” bushings. Is .002” neck tension enough?

The real question for the SLR is what is the shoulder thickness? The neck can be turned, but when you size the neck back into the old shoulder material, the donut forms. Many times this reforms, even after reaming, over a couple sizings as the shoulder material flows forward into the neck.

L&R thx for this info. Figured to inside neck ream once but will keep my eyes open for this

What's the rush?? Wait until you get the brass and then figure if you are going to need to turn it. Then load a dummy round and get your measurements!

Any update on this? I have a Bartlein 6mm barrel blank considering the 6 SLR
No update yet........ My buddy up in Nebraska got to it first. He's chambered up and ready to go but working on the brass now. He's never had to neck turn brass before but has a neighbor that's gonna help him. Should be any day.....

My Peterson with loaded round measures. 271. Neck thickness .135. I have .272 chamber . .268 bushing work the best for me
