Neck diameter of 25 WSSM non bushing FLS dies

I,m will be building up a 6.5 WSSM and will be getting the reamer ground to suit a turned neck diameter, something like a 243 or 25 WSSM neck diameter. Can anyone tell me what the 243 or 25 WSSM non bushing dies are in the neck? I was hoping that either a 243 or 25 WSSM non bushing FLS die will work with neck turned ,necked up to 6.5 brass.
I will be ordering a die soon, (so I know what neck spec for the reamer), but dont know if 243 or 25 Cal dies would be best.

I asked that question of Forster some time ago for the .243 WSSM. They told me the die neck was 0.273/.274". Based on that I would estimate the 25 WSSM die neck to be about .287". If that was correct this would leave you with a neck wall thickness of about 0.005" with the .243, and 0.012" for the 25 WSSM. The 25 sounds reasonable, but the .243 too thin.

Also keep in mind that the shoulder angle is steeper on the 25, so will give a bit more case capacity.

Thanks for this Ron. If it is about .012", it will be just what I,m after.I will try to find someone who has a 25 WSSM die of any make, to make sure, then I will order my FLS die and 6.5 WSSM reamer. Also, I didnt know the 25 WSSM case was a different shoulder angle, Thanks for that.

Forster are pretty good about answering e-mail inquiries. I just asked them what size their die neck was. Also, for $12 plus shipping Forster will hone up to 0.008" out of the neck of a FL or Neck resizing die in 0.0005" increments. See link:

Thanks Ron. I sent them an email but havent had a response yet. I have asked Redding but they didnt give me any measurements in the reply.

Also, I have just learned that the 243 WSSM die has a 28" shoulder while the 25 has a 30" shoulder, which will be what I,m after.
