Neck bushing sizes for 6 CM ??

Just ordered a 6 CM, and am about to order some hornady and Peterson brass. I took a 6.5 case and sized it in my 6 BR Redding bushing die, then I seated a 95 gn. Midway bullet . then miked the necks,
At the case mouth I get .272 further down the neck I get .2735 or .274. I figure I need to order bushing dies in .270, .271, .272 & .273.
Also going to order a FL sizing die, but plan to use my Redding BR micro seater, and 6BR neck bushing die.
Anything else I need ??

So far I have been using Lapua SRP, Peterson LRP, and Starline SRP. I normally size my necks using .269" bushing or honed die neck, and run a .241 expander through them. Winds up with the neck OD of .2705". Loaded necks are running .2725". I am firing them in 2 rifles, one has a .275" neck, the other has a .278" neck.

Your choice, but I think you will far prefer the Petersons over the Hornady brass.

You don't mention what brand die. Was less than impressed the Redding FL sizing die, came with a .263" neck. I honed it out to .269", but that was a lot of work and more than I normally like to go.

When you neck them down youll have to turn them unless you special ordered a bigger neck reamer. Even though it will chamber its not ideal having under .002 clearance

First thing, I would NEVER buy brass from 2 different companies. They will be slightly different
in thickness and will throw off your readings.
Buy all from either Peterson, Lapua or Alpha
As mentioned above, when you neck down a case
it will have a thicker neck than a designed case for that caliber.
So wait till you have your 6 creed cases in hand..

Is this a 6 Creedmoor or Competition Match ?
I’m unclear
