Nebraska State Mid Range Championship

Joe C

Student of the 1911.
Greetings!

I would like to take a moment and announce that we are having our first ever Mid Range State Championship this year here in Nebraska on August 22 2015. The match will be held at Eastern Nebraska Gun Club just outside of Louisville Nebraska which is just south of Omaha.

The match will be limited to 60 shooters including F-Open and FTR. Course of fire is 3x20 plus sighters.

You can find out more about the match and register by going to www.nebraskafclass.com.

To say we are excited about this match is an understatement! I'm already working on the prize table and Shane has some awesome trophies coming together for the winners!

I will update this thread as time goes on. Hope you can come join us for a great match!

Well done Joe and Shane plus everyone else behind the scenes! This will be great for the club, the State and the F class discipline. Guess I better get my spot reserved!

Good to hear of more matches getting organized. It's a little to far of a drive for me to shoot one day though. Joe, have you given any more thought to joining us in Wi. this summer? Full week of long range in mid June. Keith

Keith, I am planning on bringing Pinky up for the LR matches in WI this year! ;-)

Joe, There are a lot of great shooters show up. It's always a good time to visit, and see new faces. I hope that your state match is a big success. We don't have strictly F class matches. All our shooting is done along side sling shooters, but we get along together. I will be ready for Pinky too!

What if you haven't shot in a registered match. Would the classification default to HM?

Thanks
Matt

Matt, you would fall in the Master class if you have no classification.

Joe

Thank you. When I lived back in Lincoln, I belonged to the club and it was a superb range. Would like to come back and shoot this match.

Haven't been back in a while...can anyone get in on this? It'd be a good opportunity for me to come back and visit Omaha. For anyone interested, ENGC is a fantastic facility/club, and they put on great matches. Definitely worth marking your calendar!

We would love to see you back in Nebraska for this shoot!

Bob Sebold and I will be there. Just sent our info to Shane. Keith your more than welcome to ride along with Sebold and I. That is as long as you can stand Sebolds cigar smoke ;)

Look forward to seeing you both! I will be coming back to Iowa in the fall again as well and hope to see you and Brock there!

Please tell me you painted that monstrosity during the offseason.

Nope! I was going to but decided that beating you with a pink rifle was just too fun! LOL! You will be happy to know that I'm going to be shooting my 6mm in a few matches this year though...

By the way Damon, thanks for the hard work on the great looking Website! You're the man!

You'll have no such opportunity this year! I got tired of getting whipped by that ugly thing and rebarreled to .308. Yep, you drove me to the dark side. Bought a bunch of 215s and a bipod.

Hahahaha! You are not the first person to be turned by Pinky...but, I just recently did a new barrel for Herb that may be my own undoing...LOL!

Joe, you didn't seem to happy when I teased you about painting that stock a different color! The looks of other people's guns doesn't really effect me though. It's when I shoot bad, that brings me down. If Ryan and Bob are going down, I might have to tag along. Ryan just chambered a new midrange barrel for me.

I wish it were possible to come shoot with you guys, as long as I could be squadded upwind of Bob. ;)

Can anyone tell me what time the new shooter clinic begins? I'm in Lincoln and have only shot the 300 yard at Ikes but I would love to get to Louisville and shoot the 600. I have no experience pulling targets or scoring but I want to learn.

That's exactly what the clinic is for! The range schedule has 0730 set up and ~0900 start. Get with Shane and let him know you are coming and he can give you the specifics.
