NC coyote hunting

Im pretty green on the coyote hunting, and I wanna get into it a whole lot more. I was wondering if anybody had some tips for hunting in NC. What's a good time to go and things like that. I do know that this coming fall NC will allow night hunting with a light, and I'm kinda excited about that. But that's another thing. I have no idea how to do that and make it work either.

Bought a foxpro and hunt early and late. A pup call works best in early spring. NC coyotes ain't no dummies.

At night expect your shots to be up close and personal. I have yet to shoot one over 50 yards at night, most are 20-30.

Keep them in the halo of the light on approach, only dropping to full intensity if really needed or right when you are ready to pull the trigger.

Enjoy all the night sounds ;D

The wind is the most important factor when calling. Setup is 90% of it. You can't beat their nose if you allow them to get downwind (where they will circle to).

That has been proposed to be effective 8/1 but it has to make it through the rules commision first. I can still be shot down, not a done deal.
