NBRSA nationals in Oregon ??

I have never shot an NBRSA shoot before and would like to know the course of fire for the 600 yd.shoot.
How many targets per day in Hvy & Light gun.
How many rounds would I need for a two day shoot etc.
All help regarding this would be appreciated.

Gary (aka dubya)

Its hard to believe they would have that match where its about 1500mi too far for 99% of the shooters. Lets have it on the north slope of alaska next year.

3 targets light and heavy gun per day..5 shot groups at 600
5 for light/10 for heavy at 1000
unlimited sighters(7 min) on first target of the day.then 3 min
if I remember correctly
I cant go.....

This is what the match director sent us via email:

"600 yard Light Gun -- 6 targets 30 Match rounds
600 yard Heavy Gun -- 6 targets 60 Match rounds

1000 yard Light Gun -- 6 targets 30 Match rounds
1000 yard Heavy Gun -- 6 targets 60 Match rounds

The number of sighter rounds during the allotted sighter periods is up to you."

You are going to love it!

I have been to California twice and Byres, CO. last year. It is a bit of a drive from WI, but worth it.

From what I've been able to find, the match is listed as being Sun-Fri. I haven't seen any schedule or flyers posted anywhere so I'm kind of assuming it will be two light & two heavy gun groups per day.

Three days for each match @ 600 & 1K...?

I wish it was 3 groups ea gun per day. Shortens the match & hotel bill by two days.

Gary,

It also looks like you have to have your match fees sent in by the 17th of this month or there's a $40 late fee. Just sent mine in today.

Gary -

NBRSA 600/1000 Nationals are a 12-Target format:

6-targets in LT <> 5-shot groups/scores
6-targets in HV <> 10-shot groups/scores
12-targets Total <> 2-Gun Aggs

Good Luck
Donovan

Donovan knows what he is talking about ,,,at the nats you shoot 6 targets LG and 6 targets HG,,,,you will need ~150 rounds of ammo for each distance (600 and 1000)it depends on whether its done in two days or 3 on how many targets per day,,,but it ends up with the total above,,,,I figgure at least 5 shots for sighter per target ,,that is how I arrivved at the 150 round total,,,,if you are there ahead of time and want to shoot you must allow for more ammo or the components to reload,,,,roger

If you are planning to shoot both light and heavy in 600 yard and light and heavy in 1000 yard you will need a total of around 300 rounds.

See you there

Hello Richard,

Right now, it looks like I will not be able to make it.
Maybe see you another time.
Shoot well.
