N555 in 6.5 CM, 144 Berger

I have seen a few questions being raised about this new powder and real use data. I was able to buy two 8lb jugs on line last week, so I thought it would be worth time and money to give it a test.
Rifle Lone Peak action Krieger 8 twist 26"

144 Berger, Lapua brass, CCI 450

N555 loads starting 42.8 thru 43.4 (VVmax).
43.2 and 43.4 were outstanding. Numbers were almost identical. Velocity 2808, SD 7.1, EX 20.

Paper 5 shots, 100 yards.
Steel plate 5 shots 560 yards.

I believe this combination will work well for me.

I'm surprised at the speed you are getting. I was under the belief that vvn555 produced lower velocity than h4350. For some reason looks like the 144 berger reversed that trend in vv's load data. What was your OAL and jump to lands?

Looks like a sweet setup. Glad to hear 555 works, more options the better.

My OAL is 2.860. I have not checked the jump. I should have noted that my H4350 41.8 grs produces 10 fps less velocity. I have not loaded either powder higher because I liked what I am getting. My results are from a Labradar.
