We have used a pile of bipods for ARA 22 benchrest--settled on the MYSTIC sold by EGW in PA.
For what We use them for they have been really sweet but I noticed when I bought a used one there was a little bit of play in the legs--not much at all but in the bench rest game it mattered--so I came up with a simple solution that cures it.
I bought a cheapo feeler gauge set from HF--I use a .012 to .014 single blade inside each leg as pictured--I sort of wedge them in and they slide back and forth no issue but when I tighten the leg knob it Locks the legs like they were solid!!
I have started using this trick on the new bipods as well--just find the blade that works and away you go solid as an anvil for under $6
It Really Helps!!
