Yes, this is the .357 model. There's a fascinating, to me anyway, segment in the book "Ruger And His Guns" detailing when the dash Six series was used for instruction in an armorers course Ruger offered at the time. At one point the instructor emptied it rapid fire. Then as the class looked on he threw the gun down range where it hit and bounced and skidded the last 5 yards or so of the 25 yard range. Indoor concrete, not semi-soft dirt. Then he walked down and picked it up and threw it back. He picked it up, reloaded, and emptied it rapid fire again. Unfortunately, it was damaged. One wooden grip had a small chip off the corner. And it looked pretty battle worn after bouncing and skidding on concrete. And functioned 100% and with tape wrapped grips finished the remainder of the armorers course as the class example gun. Yes, one of the best Rugers ever made. No question about it.One of the best guns Ruger ever made. It also came in 9mm. I take it yours is a 357mag?
