My new 6.5x284 Lapua, tight neck

I used a match grade PT&G 6.5x284 Lapua reamer.

Has anyone built a new rifle with a barrel throat so tight it was hard to get a consistent COAL?

I used my stoney point and measure from the ojive.

Bergers measured perfect every time, FYI

SMK 142's, Secnar 137's, JLK 140's all were inconsistent up to .040 difference, every time. It's like I am a 1/4 thousandths off causing the sticking.

I have never had a barrel throat this tight, and I have measure 100's of barrels with this same gauge.

I can lightly tap (with a light square rod) and the push rod will push the bullet in. go in, but I am always off around .010 with this method.

I can clearly see the land marks on the bullet. I could use this mark as my measurement.

Just looking for opinions. I don't want to put words in anyone's mouth, so I will wait for opinions.

Dennis

PS: I just like everything to be exact and consistent.

Sounds like it's tight.
Measure the bullets as well to get an idea of what is going to work going forward.
