My good deed for the day!!

I was down at one of the local businesses and, as usual, gun stuff came up. One of the guys had just got a new Creedmoor and was looking for some RL 16. Evidentally the interweb says it is the IT powder for the 6.5. Probably true....IDUNNO. I said I had some but with everything going on I wasn't in a big rush to get rid of it. Turns out the guy had hooked a ND Bighorn sheep tag. Once in a lifetime...5 given out a year state wide. A real treasure!!

Anyway, we solved a few more of the worlds problems and I left. When I got back to the shop I dug into my powder stash, and, knowing it is all I use for my Dasher comp loads anymore, grabbed the last of my RL16....a 1/2 empty 8 pounder and headed back and set it on his desk. He was happy and kept asking how much. I winked and said $100.00 a pound!! He didn't even blink and I am sure he would have paid it . I told him not to worry...we can figure it out later!!

SMILES ALL AROUND!!

H4350 is the go to powder for 6.5. RL16 works according to some. Oddly enough, unlike the last shortage there seems to be plenty of H4350 around.

Don’t forget 4831sc and the Carolina load.;)
Way to go on your good deed! It will come back to you!

Actually....I am not happy with the way my Light gun tubes have been doing since i started back up in 2018 anyway. Thinking next year I may go back in time and revive good old RL 15 and see where that takes me. Or Varget.....or 4895, or...... This just helped my decision making process.

Or....maybe the driver of the LG just plain sucks!! :(

Again...IDUNNO.

On the other end of the spectrum — just bought a handgun 45acp and a Dillon 550 in last 5 weeks - for years I’ve loaded ammo for rifle and have plenty supplies including primers. Having no handgun powder or primers or brass and bullets i was able to buy bullets and used brass. I work with some good fellas that are well to do people and some share the same hobby of shooting reloading. Anyhow i was carrying on a conversation with a anesthesia doctor that’s just a normal kind of fella and he has friends that buy pallets of supplies in the reloading realm - so i asked him to keep ears open for a little powder like 231 and some large pistol primers. He said he would see what he could come up with maybe call a friend or two. Came to work on Monday and there was a paper bag with stapled top with my name on it. I’m thinking somebody saved me a piece of cake or something !! Well in the bag was brick of lpp and a pound of 231 - well i immediately took said bag to my car and kept my mouth shut. I texted him later that day and he said it was a gift. Lol few weeks later i tried to give him 4 20 dollar bills and he made me take 40 back and said we are good. I wish he were a member here - i tried to recruit him to be a member here but he says he’s too busy.
