My first Berger bullets / not impressed!

Customs will definitely hold tighter tolerances than Berger. You’ll pay for it, but that’s life I suppose.

Well loved reading this Post .
I just received 500 Bullets that cost Twice the price for the same in Berger .

They are only .0005 differences in them ...
Twice as much ! Twice as Good ( Really)

Berger’s shoot little groups!

I sold 2 boxes of Berger today just to try a box of custom.

I'm going to keep playing with them to see if I can dial them in even more but they just may not justify the added cost since I'm not really that great of a shooter. It has been proven many times that a great bullet will not make you a better shooter, honing your skills will do that.

They may shoot good but there is a lot of sorting! Never seen so many different sizes in the same lot. I'm finding .632, .633, .635, .636, .637, .638 in two 100 count boxes I mixed together in one bigger box. These are VLD Target 6mm number 24429 and lot number PO1418 on both boxes.

You have to be careful "WHERE" you measure when checking BTO. If you're measuring too far from the lands contact point right at the front of the bearing surface, you can get inconsistent BTO measurements. When measuring a 1/4 or 1/2 way up the ogive from the lands contact point, you will see a much greater spread in measurement values.

I think that depends on what you’re shooting. If it’s F class, a well dialed in rifle shooting good bullets will accelerate the learning process quite a bit. Being able to completely trust your misses as not related to load is a big deal. Was that close 9 at 3 o’clock a random “flyer”, the wind, or poor fundamentals? It sure is nice to know it’s not the rifle/load.

Disciplines with less stringent accuracy requirements? I go with cheaper bullets there.

I'm gonna try some bison ballistics 200gr.in my 06'
Anybody have any experience with these
