My first 1000 yard - fun comp

First and most important. I think this is addicting so I've already starting looking for a 12 step program in case I have to quit. The only ones I can find are for making the shot. :P

Second, I'm not boasting because I know nothing. I don't know if this is good or not. I'm just excited that I got to play and hit the target.

My rig: I guess this is F-Open but not sure. The comp is a run what ya brung anyway.
Weatherby Vanguard short action - started life as a .243. Now chambered as 260 Remington.
Pac-Nor 28", 3L, fluted, SS, Target weight barrel. Installed by my local smith.
Timney trigger, set as low as I dare.
Boyds second walnut Thumbhole stock. Finished with a red/rose highlight and oiled by a friend
Sinclair folding bipod.

Other than the barrel installation, I did all other work.
Finished the inletting, little bits here and there where the CNC made round corners that needed to be square.
Relief for the trigger adjustment screws.
Opening the barrel channel to float the barrel.
Bedding the action.

The range is far far away, pretty close to the Land of Oz. Well, 120 miles.
Wind is present always and never constant. Swirling, shifting, changing speed. Oh and the thermals can move a semi. ;)

Format: 2x20 @ 1000 unlimited sighters.

Other than wind, it was wonderful weather. The other squad got the wost of the wind direction changes, it switched direction at +7mpg by 180 degrees at least 5 times during their second string. We had a 'lul' that reqired only 1/2 MOA from total as the wind moved from left then from right.

The guys in the club were great to hang out with.

So, after all that. I did a 383-8X
