When I got my FX 120 scale, I verified lots of charges
thrown by the 1500 and was happy with the dispensers
accuracy. At most I would run Fluorescent lights behind me.
Accuracy was still spot on.
This past friday I dispensed powder with the FL.light
on above my head. There was absolutely nothing abnormal
as to how the dispenser operated. I was dropping 26 gr which was
very close to top of the nk. Wih each drop I always
pick the pan up, sit it back down to verify the weight.
I never saw an error in all of the 35 cases that I had
charged so far. In some of these cases the powder
was lower in the nk than others. This is what got my
attention.
I reweighted those charges that was obviously short, first
on the 1500 then on the FX 120. Both showed the charges
to be .4 to .5 short of the target weight.
I turned the overhead light off and refilled the cases verifying
the drops on the FX. As always the Chargemaster was dead on.
The Fluorescent light isnt always your friend. LDS
