My buddy hits the gun lottery

A couple of days ago a friend calls and says "If someone just told you to pick any Smith & Wesson Performance Center gun and you would then own it, what would you choose?" Before I could come up with an answer, he says "The reason I ask is because that just happened to me". Turns out a elderly friend of his wanted to say thanks for occaisionally helping out with household chores and yardwork. Wow!

The only thing that would make it better is if this happened to me!

Sounds like a lot of yard work, or the old guy has dementia! Nice of him though!

That would be easy for me. A Model 41!!!!!! Duhhhhh,

I have this and it is the best damn gun ever

image.jpeg It would for sure be a 1911.
It would probably be this one.
I would say your friend is a lucky fellow and the bearer of the offer very generous.

tazzman-
The 745 was a production run pistol.
The 945 is a PC run pistol.
The 945-1's are not 2 tone & don't have the acid etched 945 in the slide.

356 TS&W 5" would be my request.
Once in hand send it back to the PC & have them fit a 5" 9x19mm barrel/spring to the slide-been there done that!

Model 52's (38spl)are sweet shooters....also!

The Model 41's handle well but there are better rimfire options & High Std or Colt isn't one of them.
