My .223 AI rabbit shooting video

Hello guys
I filmed this footage on a recent vermin shoot with my recently re- barrelled .223AI. It is my first AI cartridge and so far I'm really enjoying it. Round count is now 450 and it has accounted for a lot of vermin.

Thanks

G'Day Si, enjoyed the video but, where is it filmed ? Looks like New Zealand.

I have 700 Remington .223 and may re-barrell next year to 223AI. Just replaced stock with a Accuracy International AX stock.

Hi. Filmed in North East England. One thing to be aware of with the AI is that its not the easiest to feed from mag. You have to weigh up whether the 150 fps (approximately) is worth the risk.

very nice shooting guys. I have been wanting to try out those ballistics apps but dont have an apple got a kindle fire my kids bought me :) so limited on the apps i guess.

The fire is based on android os so you should be able to buy shooter for your kindle. It's an awesome app. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004DPR2JU/ref=redir_mdp_mobile

OMG, you have rabbits as thick as our ground squirrel populations in this part of the world. Never seen that many rabbits in one place at one time. Good shootin' too. Congrats on the right choice of rifle for the job.

Oh thanks a million!!! I will be getting that :)

That's a dream job, culling those over populated rabbits. What comes in for the carcasses? It seems odd they won't let you collect the meat, I imagine the ground-nesting birds don't like the rotting meat much.

Collecting the bodies would potentially disturb the nesting birds as I walked over so the keepers prefer me to leave them.

Are these rabbits any good for eating as the ones here are really good eating.

I eat a few of the rabbits I shoot with my 22LR and the rest are sold to the game dealer and enter the food chain.
