My 1st ever reloading bench.

Well I finally got my reloading bench done this last weekend. This is the first one I've ever had/made. I used 2 base cabinets and a heavy workbench top along with some generic storage kits and white peg board. It's all screwed/glued together and is surprisingly sturdy. It's only 5' in length but it's just big enough for everything I need for now. The bigger base cabinet on the right holds my tumbler/medias and seperator bucket nicely.

I did get 40 pieces of .243 brass FL sized, trimmed, and pocket primers uniformed/cleaned and flash holes deburred tonight too!

I didn't have too much trouble getting the die set right, etc. and only over trimmed 2 pieces of brass getting my 3-way cutter set so not too bad for a rookie I guess. I plan on getting those 40 pcs fully loaded for the weekend with 4 different steps up of IMR 4350 powder at 0.1 off the lans using 107 gr Sierra MK's and do a little test firing with them and see what my results are for my 1st ever reloading attempt.

Anyway.........here's a picture of my little slice of heaven, I know it isn't big and fancy, but it's mine and I really, really like it........hope y'all do too.

That is a very neat and clean bench, very tidy, everything in it's place, I am envious,....however,....tell me that isn't a open Mt dew on your reloading bench, and PLEASE tell me that isn't a pack of cigarettes and ash tray, that and gun powder just doesn't mix my friend, everything else looks great! :)

It's Diet Mt Dew. I can't handle regular. :P And yes it's an ashtray and cigarettes, but I think I'll leave those in the other room when I have the gun powder open. ;)

All you need now is a rocking office chair so when you get tierd you can just kick back and take a nap!

Great looking bench!

You better save this picture on the peg board just for reference. A couple years from now it will look like a Chinese laundry mat!!!! This stuff has a way of accumulating fast. I keep building more shelves and they keep filling up. It sure looks good now brother, good job!

AWESOME! Now you can come build me one. Excellent piece of worksmanship! Makes me want to go tear mine out and build one off you picture alone.

I hear that! My bench now has 2 progressive Dillons and my trusty RCBS single on it.
I have to remove one of the Dillons when I load rifle cartridges.

I remember those days, about 50 years ago. now i have 10 feet of overloaded bench with aluminum pads to bolt what press i am using today.
keep a picture to remind yourself how you started and enjoy the greatest fun in the world creating your own ammo and enjoying the results at the range.

I also agree, very nice work. Watch out for the ashtray!!!

The only thing I see is what I tried which are the plastic stackable bins. After awhile they will sag and take a set and start snagging on the way out as you pull them. Then you will have to yank them out and they will break.I use akro bins for some stuff now. They are tough and easy to move around.

For a first reloading bench setup, that is a Cadillac ! My reloading room currently looks like an F-2 tornado just came through it, but "I" know where everything is, ,,,I just may trip over something else getting to it. ::)
