Really like the look of your rifle. Spent most of my life modifying my factory rifles. Good shooting, you and your rifle have a lot to be proud of. Have 17 Remington Classic, that shoots great groups with 30 grain Berger's. Will have take a look at Lilja barrels as a replacement will soon be needed.

You sure did a great job on that rifle. Great shooting too by the way. Was that stock for a "Varmint" contour barrel or did you cut the channel out? Is the barrel a Remington varmint contour or something other??

I bet that thing puts a chuck to sleep in a big hurry. WD

It was a Rem varmint channel and its a Rem varmint contour Lilja 9 twist 4 groove barrel! It Hammers the Groundhogs here!

Great looking rifle! I bought a 22-250 Remington BDL varminter in the early 70's that looks just about like yours. I remember paying $225.00 for that rifle back then. I ended up with a Pac-Nor barrel in 22-250 and of course used my BDL stock. Great combo and classic look...good job!

What twist is the Lilja ?
That rifle really shoots !!!
When you start touching .17 bullets you know you have a small group. Have you measured the groups, they should easily under a 1/4"

How does the ..17 Remington compair to you .17 Tac ?
