MXX-123 Test Results Page

This is one reason I like to buy from Sinclair, their product support. For the person who said he would buy it on ebay cheaper than Sinclair, I hope you consider this.

No, I suggested a prospective scale purchaser look on eBay first before paying what Sinclair wants. Mostly to see what's out there, maybe find alternatives & maybe a good deal.

I used to buy almost everything from Sinclair but after the sale to Brownell's the prices went up while the shipping times went from (mostly) one day to (sometimes) three or four. Glad to hear Brownell's is honoring Sinclair's original customer support, that's a good thing... but I'll stand behind my suggestion that "shopping around" is never a bad idea.

(A few months ago my 4 year-old DI MMX123 displayed that oL message too so I unplugged it. No idea what caused the error, I hadn't been using it & it's kept under a dust cover while not in use, left on 24/7/365 running off a battery back-up/stabilizer for good measure. Plugged it back in 30 minutes later, worked fine ever since....)

Looking at Denver Instruments website, it appears they've discontinued pretty much their entire line of products, not just the MAXX series balances.

I bought one of the very first MXX123's from D.I. when they were first offered. It has worked flawlessly for me ever since. Knock on wood!!!

So what will Satorious be offering that will be compatable with the MXX 123 now????

denver inst was sold to another company...long ago..so not suprised data is dead on thier site.
i'm with danny..i bought early, leave it on all the time, sits on a granite surface plate..that is 50 lbs by itself...

the object is to weight stuff..NOW...NOT WAIT AND SEE what it weights in an hour...electricity to the averge house varies during the day..if voltage changes, you can expect output to change....welders know this and in high end welding check thier machines several times a day.

all ya all have a good day

+1 on the Granite surface plate, makes for a super solid level platform. My bench is insanely heavy which helps.
I run mine thru an APC H10 line conditioner so my voltage stays constant also.
My reloading room is below ground level with ALL flourescent lighting, and climate controlled.
Never ever experienced any of the problems others complain about.

Actually what's happened was DI used Sartorius to build there scales and branded them as Denver Instruments. Sartorius took back over the Denver Instruments line of precision scales. I use to be a dealer for Denver Instruments and I will call Satorius this week and set up a dealership with them and see what I can do for you guys on getting better pricing and customer support on the DI line as well.

In reply to a query I sent to Sartorius I received this:

"Unfortunately the MXX-123 balance and series has been discontinued for some time. Here is the current replacement for that balance.
The model is the AZ153. I have attached a specification sheet...."

- which I've attached here:

Why the huge price spread? Googling FX120i I see a range from US$656 to $1,035? Obviously a potential buyer needs to shop around.
