Muller Octomax barrel

I have a Muller Octomax barrel blank I am getting ready to have fitted to an action. Just curious if anyone else has one or has used one thanks.

It wouldn’t. The gun smith I am using was wanting to find some info on them from people that used them.

He is asking in a general sense on how these barrels perform, not as to his barrel will be.

So, isn't it a follow what the better shooters use when it comes to RFBR? taken in that context a lot of shooters use Shilen's because they get good results shooting them, now with that said perhaps the question should have been who is shooting an octomax and are you happy with it.
now on chambering I didn't see that question from the OP so not sure how that relates to the question.

John I know you have seen Evelio’s post over on rimfire central and commented on it several times. So I am sure you know why I am asking on here for info about these barrels . Just trying to help him out.

Well I guess he thought someone could give him input whether or not it was a gunsmith that has fit one or someone shooting one. Or he wouldn’t have asked. It is my barrel he is doing so I will try to help him if I can

Pretty sure he knows what he is doing. The thing is he had questions about how tight the bore was. Which you know because you read it on rfc.

I'm not getting what the big deal is about someone looking for feedback on a barrel - or any particular piece of equipment.

Now I understand what this question is about. Evelio told me last year when I had two Shilen octagons his experience with them and based off that I didn't use them and sold them. I had him do a BM 3G .900 this was the best decision I ever made this barrel is shooting beyond my expectations. Evelio's competency is beyond question.
I think, his asking about this barrel is the fact he never chambered one and because it slugged differently than barrels he is familiar with. he certainly doesn't want to do a barrel that he is not confidant it will shoot.

Out of curiosity I went and read the post at RFC if it were me, I wouldn't proceed with that barrel. as you know I deeply respect Evelio's work. that .900 barrel he did for me earlier this year wasn't anything special, but it has given me 3 state championships, and I currently lead points in two states and have a chance to win in 3 for this year's ARA UL.
I would seriously ask Evelio what the best course to follow. it may be to past on this barrel and wait for one he would recommend.

But was trying to find out some info on them from people that had used them before he proceeded. I talked to Paul at muller and relayed his info to Evelio. Last i talked to Evelio he was waiting on a call back from Jerry Stiller on some info

He does know said he has chambered many of his barrels. But yes I figured he would call him also.

I had to edit /revise my post as I realized I was replying to another subject from RFC and this one , lol
I think your question was a good / fair question , it’s like asking if the new engine in a certain brand vehicle is good to find out the general consensus, the one you get may be the same worse or better ,
I am growning tired of these people who are sitting at home bored , mad at the world , unhappy or mad unhappy in their married life and take it out on everyone else , I wish if individuals couldn’t contribute in a positive way ( good or bad news //information ) they would just keep to them selves
Mr Evelio is good to go , I have never used him for any work but know several that have , he is on the list to have have complete some work for me
