Moving from Southern CA to AZ... where are the matches out here?

Hi y'all recently relocated from California to Arizona. (super excited to be in a more 2A welcoming state)

I shoot PRS Centerfire / Rimfire + NRL22 mainly, Occasionally I'll shoot mid-range F-Class with my dad! I'm used to shooting at least 3-4 times a month so it would be great to link with people who also love shooting!

I'm wondering if someone could give me the ropes of where the matches are / where people usually practice as well... (always looking for local mentors )

I know cow town does prs style matches. Ben avery has events but im not sure what ones since i dont go. I live in east valley so if i do go to the range its rio salado. Dont think they have matches like that. A coworker goes there for 22lr pistol and rifle competing but not sure name of discipline.

As someone else mentioned Rio Salado, check that out. Also look for Road Runner Rifle Club, I believe that was the name.

Phx has always had decent places to shoot. As a kid I lived in Glendale and we went to Thunderbird park, which is now all housing. Black Canyon range was new back then (now Ben Avery). When we lived in Mesa went to Usery Mtn (Rio Salado).

I hope to find a range similar to my old home range in Southern California.

Pala shooting range has steel targets from 100 yards out to 847 yards. Is there a range like that within 1 hour of PHX?

I moved to Rolling Hills in 1976, when I was in my early 20s. I only lasted a year before I got out.

They shoot out at Cowtown range- very cool range with rifle steel out to 1K+ and some bays for pistol and CQB stuff.

You also have Phoenix Rod and Gun club- NRL22, Rio Salado Sportsman's Club- NRL22 and I think PRS. And as others have mentioned Ben Avery.
