mounts & rings for LVSF .221

Due to what I read I bought a LVSF in .221 for a truck gun at the ranch. I think after research I will use Weaver mounts with Burris Zee insert rings.. Scope I have is a 3 X 10 Leupold 40mm. What ring height do I need???? . I installed a Jewell Hunting trigger and will have some one glass bed it? Am I wasting money to have action trued? Any constructive comments welcome.. thks john

The LVSF barrel contour is the same as Rem's magnum sporter contour. I would run mediums, I know they'll fit. I'm not positive lows. At this point I'd shoot it, then decide if it needs any tweaks.

Personaly the only rings and base I will by for a new set up is lupy or buriss (Twist in) Nedium should be the rite set for you

Go to Leupold's site. They give recommended ring heights for each scope.

If you use the twist ins from Leupold you better be sure the base is in line or you'll mess the scope up.. The inserts in the Signatures won't be a problem seeing they self align..... they also work way better than the others will ever be...
